Overview

ITS Digital Services provides centralized, WordPress-based web hosting and content management for a range of users, including enterprise customers such as schools, divisions, departments, centers, and institutes. The service is built on a flexible and scalable cloud-based platform to ensure robust performance, reliability, and adaptability, meeting the diverse needs of the Carolina community. Self-service options are also available for the entire university community.

Specific services include the following:

• Content Strategy: Develop an effective approach to organizing and delivering your content.
• Flexible and Robust CMS: A managed WordPress environment featuring predefined themes and plugins.
• Branded University Themes: Incorporate official UNC branding into your site.
• Custom Website Development: Build tailored, professional websites to meet your specific goals.
• Accessibility Consulting: Ensure compliance with UNC’s digital accessibility guidelines and standards.
• Website Support: Receive ongoing assistance for websites hosted on the ITS network.

 

Web services are available to all groups associated with the University, UNC Health or UNC Hospitals. Project work is billed at a rate of $75/hour. Website support is offered as a free service.
